ATLANTA – A LaGrange store owner is jumping for joy since selling a jackpot-winning Fantasy 5 ticket. Jaffer Jiwani, owner of Bay Food Mart, is excited to have sold a winner.
“This is the first winning Fantasy 5 ticket we’ve sold,” Jiwani exclaimed.
Bay Food Mart is located at 1312 Hamilton Road in LaGrange. The ticket sold was one of two jackpot winners from the Jan. 25 drawing. The second jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Albany.
Shannan McLaughlin of LaGrange is the winner of $26,068, who purchased her Quik Pik ticket from Bay Food Mart. Winning numbers from the Jan. 25 drawing were: 14-19-20-32-38.
Jiwani said he plans to post signs about selling a winning ticket around the store to inform patrons of the good news.
“This was great,” he said. “I keep telling everyone we’ve had a winner from LaGrange.”
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 jackpot tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the winning jackpot tickets will share the bonus. Bay Food Mart will share a $2,000 retailer incentive bonus.
