ATLANTA – A Dublin man has stockpiled a win worth thousands from the Georgia Lottery. Alfonza Atkins, 50, played the instant game 10X The Money – Holiday Edition, winning a $50,000 top prize.
An assistant supervisor of a shipping warehouse, Atkins anticipates paying off bills.
“I’ll have a fresh start,” he explained.
Z Mart, 1201 Telfair St. in Dublin, sold the winning ticket.
“I scratched it while at work,” he said. “I had to get it together. I couldn’t believe it.”
Atkins is a grandfather of two with two adult children with his wife, Mary.
