ATLANTA – This holiday season will be memorable for one lucky Augusta construction worker. Jason Steinmeyer, a father of seven, has won a $150,000 top prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Giant Jumbo Bucks.
Steinmeyer, 38, claimed his prize Dec. 14 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Augusta.
While having lunch at Taylor Bros. X-Press, 3938 Highway 25 N. in Hephzibah, Steinmeyer purchased his ticket and discovered his prize with the matching No. 38.
“I stared at it. I couldn’t believe my eyes,” he recalled.
The lucky winner and his wife, Monica, intend to pay off their car note with the winnings.
For the family: “We’re going to the Magic Kingdom,” Steinmeyer exclaimed.
