ATLANTA – A Chelsea, Ala., woman is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Janine Colbaugh, 49, won a $20,000 prize playing KENO!
The lucky winner matched all seven numbers in a single KENO! play and claimed her prize Dec. 16 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Dalton.
Food Mart, 71 Deer Head Cove Road in Rising Fawn, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.
The grandmother of eight was staying with friends in the Peach State and was “killing time” when she stopped with her husband, Jeff, at the gas station.
“I’m excited,” she exclaimed. “Now, my grandkids will get great Christmas presents.”
In addition to her grandchildren, the couple together have five adult children.
“It couldn’t have come at a better time,” she said. “It’s great!”
