ATLANTA – A Marietta man is bustling about since having won a spectacular prize from the Georgia Lottery. Raymond Twymon, 52, won $250,000 top prizes twice from the Nov. 28 All or Nothing day drawing for a total of $500,000 in winnings.
Twymon matched all 12 numbers on one All or Nothing ticket and missed all of the numbers drawn on another ticket. He claimed his half-million dollar prize Dec. 1 at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers: One set of numbers I like, and one set of numbers I dislike,” Twymon shared.
The lucky winner discovered his windfall after calling for the results of the drawing on the Georgia Lottery’s Player Information Hot Line.
“I called quite a few times because I wanted to make sure I was hearing those numbers right,” he explained.
Sharing the good news with his wife, Felicia, the couple were elated.
"He’s a jokester, so I thought he was playing a joke,” she said.
With children, ages 32, 14 and 11, the couple plan to pay bills, buy a new vehicle and establish a college fund for their younger children.
Roswell Food Mart, 4968 Roswell Road N.E. in Atlanta, sold the winning ticket.
All or Nothing tickets are $2 per play.
