ATLANTA – The holidays will be especially green for one lucky Georgia Lottery winner. Michelle Merriman, a medical office manager, played the popular instant game Jumbo Bucks Classic, winning a $50,000 top prize.
Merriman, 33, and her husband, Brad, were running errands when they stopped at Mega Star Food Mart #2, 221 Highway 41 in Ringgold, where they purchased the ticket.
“We were very excited,” she said. “It still doesn’t seem real.”
Chattanooga, Tenn., residents, the Merrimans have three children, ages 18, 14 and 10.
The couple intend to save a portion of the winnings for their children’s college education.
