ATLANTA – Imogene Mitchell of Albany has matched all five winning numbers from the July 29 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $747,047 jackpot prize. Mitchell, a grandmother of four, anticipates taking a cruise as result of her winnings.
“All I want to do is go to Alaska on a cruise ship and go through the mountains,” said Mitchell, 61. “I have three siblings, and I would love for us all to go together.”
College Corner, 2217 Gillionville Road in Albany, sold the winning ticket.
Winning numbers from the July 29 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 15-20-30-33-42.
Mitchell chose her own winning combination.
“I just sat there and put together the set of numbers,” she said. “The jackpot had rolled so many times, I decided to play.”
No stranger to winning the lottery, Mitchell’s partner of 10 years, James Covin of Albany, won a brand new 2015 Cadillac playing a Georgia Lottery scratcher in 2014.
“I feel really good. I’ve never won anything this large before,” Mitchell said. “This doesn’t generally happen, but I’m happy that it did.”
Mitchell claimed her prize Wednesday at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Tifton.
