ATLANTA – Earl Lee Jr. of Statesboro has won a handy prize. Lee, a 60-year-old maintenance worker, recently won $300,000 playing the Georgia Lottery’s Fa$t Money scratcher.
The winning ticket was purchased at Clyo Trading Post, 5820 Highway 199 N. in Clyo.
According to Lee, he was traveling through the area when he stopped and purchased the ticket.
“I just bought the ticket,” he said. “I wasn’t really expecting much.”
However, after scratching the lucky ticket and realizing that he was a winner, Lee said that he was in shock.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I almost fell to the ground.”
The lucky winner said that he plans to save his winnings.
“I’m just glad it happened,” he said.
Lee claimed his prize at the Georgia Lottery’s Savannah District Office.
