ATLANTA – Two residents from Canton and Tallapoosa won deluxe prizes participating in the first round of the Georgia Lottery’s Billion Dollar Challenge second chance promotion.
One resident from Tallapoosa won $2 million, and one resident from Canton won $47,500.
From April 18, 2017, through Jan. 17, 2018, players were able to enter non-winning Willy Wonka Golden Ticket scratchers into the promotion for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas and up to $1 billion in the Billion Dollar Challenge
15 winners were selected randomly in a drawing that took place Jan. 19.
One final drawing was conducted April 18 in Las Vegas to award two finalists cash prizes.
The second Billion Dollar Challenge second chance promotion began Jan. 18.
