ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players kept it festive this week, winning a total of $4,659,236 in top and second-level prizes.
· One Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold in Cleveland for the Dec. 15 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Chevron, located at 826 N. Main St.
· Three Mega Millions tickets worth $10,000 each were sold also in the Dec. 15 drawing. The tickets were purchased at: Marshallville Stop N Shop, located at 100 Main St. E. in Marshallville; RaceTrac #495, located at 123 Commerce Drive in Villa Rica; online at www.galottery.com.
· One Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Savannah in the Dec. 16 drawing. Kroger #697, located at 318 Mall Blvd., sold the ticket.
· One ticket worth $1 million from the Super 10’s scratcher was sold in LaGrange. The ticket was sold at New Golden’s Liquor, located at 500 S. Greenwood St., and was claimed Dec. 14 at a Georgia Lottery District Office.
· One scratcher worth $1 million from the Fastest Road to $1,000,000 game was sold in McDonough. The ticket was purchased at Racetrack Food Mart, located at 298 Racetrack Road, and was claimed Dec. 17 at a Georgia Lottery District Office.
· A third scratcher also worth $1 million from the Million Dollar Mega Multiplier game was sold in Eastman. The ticket was purchased at P&P Food Mart, located at 431 Oak St. and was claimed Dec. 18 at a Georgia Lottery District Office.
Over the weekend, the winnings continued as players racked up more prizes from Georgia Lottery draw games.
· Two Mega Millions tickets worth $30,000 and $10,000 was sold in the Dec. 18 drawing. The $30,000 ticket was purchased online at www.galottery.com, and the $10,000 ticket was purchased at Gia Foodmart, located at 1411 N. Slappey Blvd.
· Another Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Roswell in the Dec. 19 drawing. Publix Super Market #86, located at 4401 Shallowford Road, sold the ticket.
· Two Fantasy 5 tickets worth $244,618 each were sold in the Dec. 19 drawing. The tickets were purchased at Happy Food Mart, located at 3931 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., and Chevron Food Mart, located at 3726 Panthersville Road.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $22.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
