ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players scored a total of $1,257,168 in top and second-level prizes from draw games and scratchers last week.
· One Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Decatur for the Dec. 1 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Chevron, located at 3557 Memorial Drive.
· One Fantasy 5 ticket sold in the Dec. 2 drawing won $187,168. The ticket was purchased in Fort Oglethorpe at AP Handy Shop, located at 2180 Lafayette Road.
· One Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold online at www.galottery.com for the Dec. 3 drawing.
· One Mega Millions sold in the Dec. 4 drawing won $10,000. Pilot Travel Center #312, located at 882 Highway 100, sold the winning ticket.
In addition, players raked in some big wins playing scratchers.
· One ticket worth $1 million from the Fastest Road to $1,000,000 game was sold in Griffin. The ticket was sold at Welcome Food Mart, located at 1501 Old Atlanta Road and claimed at a Georgia Lottery District Office Nov. 30.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $22.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
