ATLANTA – Georgia has a new millionaire after someone in Fayetteville won $1 million on the scratch-off Georgia Lottery game Triple or Quadruple It.
The top prize Scratcher was purchased at Kroger Fuel Center #0490, 805 Glynn St. S, Fayetteville.
The winner came forward to claim the prize Tuesday.
Triple or Quadruple It offers $1 million top prizes and more than $22 million in tripler and quadrupler prizes with 3X and 4X multipliers.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $24.9 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
