ATLANTA – One doting dad has surprised his daughter in Dalton with more than $123,000 playing the Georgia Lottery’s Fantasy 5. Kathleen Kincaid, a grandmother of six, is one of two winners from the Jan. 1 Fantasy 5 drawing, taking home a whopping $123,803.
Winning numbers from the drawing were: 5-13-14-30-33. Kincaid’s father purchased the ticket and gave it to her. Favorite Market #3614, 2958 Cleveland Road in Dalton, sold the winning Quik Pik. She claimed her prize in late January.
The second jackpot-winning ticket was purchased in Jonesboro.
“He gave me the ticket and said, ‘this is worth some money,’ ” she said. “When we found out the amount, I was like ‘wow.’”
Kincaid, 55, is a sales agent. She and her husband, Barry, have two adult children. The lucky winner has no immediate plans for her win.
“I hope this sets the course for the year,” she exclaimed.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 jackpot tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the winning jackpot tickets will share the bonus. Favorite Market will receive a $3,000 retailer incentive bonus.
