ATLANTA – A Doraville man is enjoying a second wind of a lottery win. Ibrahim Aboubaker, 48, matched five out of six winning numbers from the Feb. 10 Decades of Dollars drawing, winning a $10,000 prize.
He won $5 million on an instant ticket in 2007.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 10 Decades of Dollars drawing were: 14-16-20-23-43-44. QuikTrip #0700, 741 W. Pike St. in Lawrenceville, sold the winning ticket.
With a portion of his first windfall, Aboubaker visited his parents in Ethiopia. He plans to do the same with his $10,000 win.
“I stopped to get a cup of coffee and played a Quik Pik,” he explained. “I found out that I’d won when I checked the results online.”
Decades of Dollars is a multi-state game where players from Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia can win cash prizes, including a top prize of $250,000 every year for 30 years. Drawings for Decades of Dollars are held twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays at 11 p.m. and costs $2 per play.
