ATLANTA – A grandmother from Griffin is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Carolyn Dingler, a grandmother of four, matched all five numbers from the Sept. 20 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $307,166 jackpot prize.
“I purchased the ticket on my grandson’s birthday,” she shared.
Shell Food, 1200 Zebulon Road in Griffin, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.
Dingler, 72, discovered she’d won after calling the Georgia Lottery’s Player Information Hot Line for the results of the drawing.
“I was shaking,” she said. “I was so thrilled over it.”
In addition to her four grandchildren, the lucky winner and her husband, Ray, have three adult children.
With her winnings, Dingler anticipates purchasing a new car.
Winning numbers from the Sept. 20 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 4-8-22-37-39.
