ATLANTA – Terence Webb of Atlanta has won a half-million dollar prize playing a Georgia Lottery scratcher. Webb, 45, played the instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks and won a $500,000 top prize.
Downtown Shell, 160 John Wesley Dobbs Ave. NE in Atlanta, sold the winning ticket.
A maintenance worker, Webb stopped to buy lunch and decided to buy the ticket.
“Something told me to pick that ticket,” he said. “I scratched it in the store.”
The lucky winner jumped for joy.
“I was jumping up and down. I couldn’t even eat lunch,” he said. “I ran out of the store with the ticket.”
A father of three, Webb intends to pay off bills with his winnings.
He claimed his prize Wednesday at Georgia Lottery’s headquarters in Atlanta.
