ATLANTA – Two winning tickets worth $40,000 and $10,000 were sold in Rincon and Athens for the Feb. 13 Mega Millions drawing. In addition, three tickets worth $10,000 each were sold in College Park, Decatur and Lizella for the Feb. 9 drawing.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 13 Mega Millions drawing were: 5-12-15-46-49 and the Mega Ball was 1.
Marathon, located at 306 S. Columbia Ave. in Rincon, sold the $40,000 ticket.
The $10,000 ticket was purchased at Chevron Food Mart, located at 4450 Atlanta Highway in Athens.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 9 Mega Millions drawing were: 28-34-41-46-47 and the Mega Ball was 14.
The three winning tickets from the Feb. 9 drawing were sold at: QuikTrip #0741, located at 1910 Lawrenceville Highway in Decatur; Shell Food Mart, 6036 W. Fayetteville Road in College Park; and Frenchie’s Grocery, located at 6011 Bethel Church Road in Lizella.
The Decatur winner claimed Monday, and the College Park and Rincon winners claimed Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Athens winner claimed Thursday. Winners have not come forward to claim the other prizes yet.
Mega Millions winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $168 million to a single annuity winner.
Mega Millions tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase Mega Millions tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $19.2 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.8 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
