ATLANTA – One ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Augusta in the Oct. 24 Powerball drawing.
Winning numbers for the Oct. 24 drawing were: 18-20-27-45-65 and the Powerball was 6. The ticket matched the first four out of five winning numbers plus the Powerball.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Circle K, located at 3744 Wheeler Road.
A winner has not come forward to claim the prize yet.
Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
Powerball tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is an estimated $116 million to a single annuity winner.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $22.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
