ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players won a total of $769,464 in top and second-level prizes last week.
· One Fantasy 5 ticket purchased in Hoschton won $289,671 in the April 11 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Publix Super Market #1188, located at 6055 Highway 124 W.
· Two tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in Carrollton and Woodstock for the April 14 Powerball drawing. The tickets were purchased at Park Place Grocery, located at 1400 N. Park St. in Carrollton, and Exxon, 6425 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock.
· Another Fantasy 5 ticket sold in Gainesville won $ 406,793 in the April 16 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Walmart Neighborhood Market #2699, located at 1435 Thompson Bridge Road.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $23.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
