ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players kicked off the holiday season winning a total of $1,194,521 in top and second-level prizes from Fantasy 5 and Powerball during Thanksgiving week.

·         Two Fantasy 5 tickets sold in the Nov. 24 drawing won $314,064 each. The tickets were purchased at Shell, located at 2733 Braselton Highway in Dacula, and Chevron, located at 630 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta.

·         One Fantasy 5 ticket sold in the Nov. 28 drawing won $366,393 and was purchased in Martinez. Walmart #5813, located at 3851 Evans to Locks Road, sold the ticket.

·         One Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Monroe for the Nov. 29 drawing. Its ticket was purchased at Shell, located at 1880 Highway 138 NW.

·         One Fantasy 5 ticket sold in Fairburn won $150,000 in the Nov. 29 drawing. Publix Super Market #1183, located at 5370 Campbellton Road, sold the ticket.

In addition, Georgia Lottery players won prizes playing Mega Millions the previous week.

·         One Mega Millions ticket sold in Cartersville won $10,000 in the Nov. 17 drawing, and the ticket was purchased at Shell, located at 1153 Burnt Hickory Road.

·         One Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Atlanta for the Nov. 18 drawing, and the tickets was purchased at QuikTrip #777, located at 5705 Fulton Industrial Blvd.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $22.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
