ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players won a total of $2,680,000 in top and second-level prizes during the first week on 2021.
· One Georgia FIVE ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Carrollton for the Jan. 4 evening drawing. The ticket was purchased at Bankhead Shoppette, located at 1337 Bankhead Highway.
· One $1 million ticket from the $100 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza game was sold in Columbus. The ticket was sold at Dinglewood Party Shop, located at 1520 Wynnton Road, and was claimed Jan. 4 at a Georgia Lottery District Office.
· One $1.5 million ticket from the Holiday Jumbo Bucks game was sold in Conyers. The ticket was sold at Chevron, located at 993 Sigman Road, and was claimed Jan. 5 at a Georgia Lottery District Office.
· Two Mega Millions tickets worth $10,000 each were sold in the Jan. 5 drawing. The tickets were purchased at QuikTrip #781, located at 4865 Old Highway 5 in Canton, and American Eagle 1 Citgo, located at 1200 Big A Road S. in Toccoa.
· One Fantasy 5 ticket sold in Marietta won $150,000 in the Jan. 7 drawing. The ticket was purchased at RaceTrac #2457, located at 840 Church St.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $22.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
