ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players won a total of $2,984,822 from top and second-level prizes in draw games and scratchers Christmas week.
· One Georgia FIVE ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Richmond Hill for the Dec. 21 midday drawing. The ticket was purchased at Shell Food Mart, located at 4035 Highway 17 in Richmond Hill.
· Another Georgia FIVE ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Lithia Springs for the Dec. 22 midday drawing. The ticket was purchased at Publix Super Market #730, located at 2675 Lee Road.
· One ticket worth $2.5 million from the Hot Millions scratcher was sold in Woodstock. The ticket was purchased at S&J Food Mart, located at 6315 Old Highway 5, and was claimed Dec. 22 at a Georgia Lottery District Office.
· One Fantasy 5 ticket worth $264,822 was sold in Winston in the Dec. 23 drawing. Midget Market, located at 4333 Post Road, sold the ticket.
· A second Fantasy 5 ticket worth $150,000 was sold in Powder Springs in the Dec. 25 drawing. Sunoco Gas Station, located at 4150 Marietta St., sold the ticket.
· One Powerball ticket sold in Midway won $50,000 in the Dec. 26 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Sunbury Country Store, located at 3584 Islands Highway.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned approximately $22.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
