ATLANTA (Dec. 10, 2024) – A Georgia Lottery player has won a $50,000 prize from the Dec. 9 drawing with a ticket purchased in Whigham. The ticket matched four of five white-ball numbers and included the Power Play option.

The winning ticket was sold at Huds 5, located at 114 E. Broad Street in Whigham.

The winning numbers for the Dec. 9 drawing were 35-37-40-45-51 with a Powerball number of 24. The Power Play multiplier was 2x, and the jackpot for the drawing was $20 million.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11, with an estimated jackpot of $30 million.

Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes. As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball benefit education in the state of Georgia.
